He is located in Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc.  Fred feels fortunate to work as a fabulous mountain rescuer with the PGHM in Chamonix. The mutual aid, the human contact, and the possibility of providing assistance were what motivated him almost 17 years ago.

He exercises his profession with passion and what's more, in an environment where he feels good: the mountains. (he really is living the dream)

The Mont Blanc Massif (his playground) allows him to indulge his passions of alpinism and paragliding on a daily basis.

Interview with Fred
3 words that define you as an athlete?
Passionate. Enduring. Always amazed!
3 values that fit you as a person?
Creativity, curiosity, drive.
Why do you feel you belong to the Cimalp family?
Because Cimalp represents for me 100% the values of the family with a capital F! Within this little family I also have the chance to participate in the development of Alpinism products. Being involved like that is great!
Your best and worst mountain memories and why?
I could cite a great mountain run shared with a friend, or an incredible paragliding flight over the peaks. But to be honest, my best but also my worst memories in the mountains, I live them in my daily life as a high mountain rescuer. Fortunately, the best always win out and keep us moving forward!
What do mountains inspire you?
Mountains attract me by their vastness and the strength they as well as taking away all your worries.
What is your relationship to the environment and ecology?
Living at the foot of the (last?) glaciers, I am even more sensitive to environmental issues. I try, through small gestures on a daily basis, to limit my impact on it.
Another great passion/talent besides sports?
Music, especially the guitar!
