Interview with Daniel
3 words that define you as an athlete?
Fighter, hard worker, sacrifice.
3 values that fit you as a person?
Sympathetic, understanding, and kind.
Why do you feel you belong to the Cimalp family?
As I often say, I am very grateful to be a part of Team Cimalp. I really like the photochromic glasses, whether it's for trail riding or for my bike workouts.
What are your best and worst mountain memories and why?
My best memory will always be the last kilometre of the U23 Skyrunning World Championship, where I knew that the gold medal was for me after all these years of sacrifice to reach the highest level. My worst memory is when I got injured in a competition.
What do the mountains inspire you to do?
A moment of relaxation and feeling in sync with the mountains.
What is your relationship to the environment and ecology?
I am particularly attentive to it, and I think that we athletes must respect nature both in training and during competitions.
Another great passion/talent than sports?
Share experiences with the people I coach on a daily basis.
