Who did we design it for?

For the committed hikers who train all year round, including when winter turns every outing into an expedition.

Their playground: snow-covered trails, icy high-altitude approaches and full days on the move with a heavy pack in conditions where visibility and grip change with every turn.

These are athletes who refuse to stay home when the cold sets in, and who demand absolute reliability on every type of winter terrain.

How should you wear it?

Adjust the lace-up with lace loops mid-lace to lock the heel on descents and limit hotspots. Opt for thick socks suited to extreme cold. Go half a size to a full size up to allow for foot swelling during effort.

What makes the difference?

Its grip on ice thanks to the Vibram® Arctic Grip sole. Where other soles slip, it bites into black ice and packed snow to secure every step.

The shoe that holds on ice

In winter, the terrain is unforgiving. Black ice under the trees, hard-packed snow slabs, approaches frozen solid from dawn. When the ground becomes unpredictable, even a single slip can ruin everything.

The ARCTIC GV was designed to maintain grip where everything slides. It delivers consistent traction on icy surfaces, thermal protection built for long hours of effort, and precise foot hold even under load. The lacing locks the ankle, the toe cap absorbs impacts, stability remains total from the first to the last kilometre.

Because in winter mountain terrain, moving with confidence starts with never slipping.
