Trail running shorts, 2-in-1 shorts or fitted shorts: choose for your run
On a long descent in hot weather, your inner thighs rub with every stride. There are three designs. Minimalist shorts are worn over a technical base layer or fitted shorts: the OBIOU weighs 65 g and the MUZELLE 50 g, for intense runs in hot weather.
The 2-in-1 shorts have a built-in inner layer: fitted shorts in the LAVAREDO (140 g) and RESTONICA (120 g), briefs in the ASPE (125 g), and women’s briefs in the THABOR (105 g). For an ultra-trail, start with 2-in-1 shorts with a built-in fitted inner layer: it reduces rubbing between the thighs. Fitted shorts worn on their own sit close to the body: the SAMBUY for men (120 g), and the ANTERNE (100 g) and JARA (145 g) for women.
Trail running shorts with a multi-pocket waistband: what it can carry
On a long run without a pack, everything has to fit around your waist. The LAVAREDO, AOSTE, ASPE, THABOR and RESTONICA 2-in-1 shorts have a multi-pocket waistband for a soft flask, phone, bars and gels, plus a key loop. On the RESTONICA, the waistband replaces a hydration belt, without bouncing as you run.

Trail running tights and trousers for winter runs
On a frosty morning, your calves stay cold throughout the first climb. The TENDE tights (men’s, 200 g) and MUNHOA tights (women’s, 170 g) are stretchy and breathable in every season; the TENDE repels splashes and light moisture. In sub-zero temperatures, choose the WINTER TIGHT : warm women’s tights weighing 280 g, with a 10,000 mm membrane that repels rain and snow and blocks sustained winds of 40 to 60 km/h.
For high-intensity efforts, the 140 g CAVAYERE 3/4-length tights help prevent the overheating that can come with full-length tights. The women’s FAST trousers weigh 280 g: windproof and water-repellent, with Kevlar® reinforcements at the lower legs, for trail running and fast hiking.
Waterproof trail running overtrousers: the STORM PRO PANT
In a storm on an exposed ridge, soaked tights quickly chill your legs. The men’s STORM PRO PANT goes over them: a 20,000 mm Ultrashell membrane, breathability of 80,000 g/m²/24 h, taped seams and protection against strong winds of 60 to 90 km/h. It weighs 300 g and packs into its zipped pocket.
Keep it in your pack whenever the weather is unsettled : its zipped lower legs let you pull it on without taking off your shoes. When the temperature drops, wear it over a thermal base layer or technical leggings. Find more styles in our waterproof trousers.
Men’s and women’s trail running shorts and trousers: sizing
Choose your usual size for most models. The women’s FAST runs slightly large: if you’re between sizes, choose the smaller one. For the JARA and CAVAYERE, choose the larger size to avoid too much compression at the waist. The 2-in-1 styles can be worn next to the skin, with or without a base layer.
