We offer women's and men's fleece styles in long-sleeve and sleeveless gilet versions. The Thermo Polar micro-fleece fabric is perfect for fighting the cold. Functional with a chest pocket and zip, we have developed the 200 g/m² version for a lightweight and packable option — ideal to wear under a ski jacket, for example, or for high-intensity sports such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or Nordic walking. To stay warm in colder conditions, the 300 g/m² version is thicker yet hardwearing and warm. Fleece is a material that retains heat because it is made from synthetic fibres — often polyester — that trap warm air close to the body. These fibres are designed to create air pockets that act as an insulating layer, retaining body heat.

Stretch and comfortable fleece jackets: a new generation

How do you choose the right men's or women's hiking fleece jacket?

A wardrobe staple for active people in cold weather, men's and women's fleece jackets vary in thickness from lightweight to heavyweight. The thicker the jacket, the warmer the fleece. When choosing your fleece, bear in mind that it should be breathable to wick moisture away from the skin and keep the body dry. Before washing, make sure all zips are closed and turn your fleece inside out. Set your machine to a delicate programme at 30°C with a maximum spin speed of 800 rpm. For drying, it's simple: just leave it to air dry! If your fleece develops an issue, always consider repair first — whether you do it yourself or take it to a specialist workshop.
