What are thermal base layers for?

Thermal base layers are designed to protect your body against cold temperatures during your outdoor activities. Like the t-shirt, they are designed to be worn as a first layer and are made from warm, lightweight and breathable materials.

Moreover, they help regulate your body temperature and keep you warm when exposed to cold temperatures. They efficiently wick away moisture for great comfort. They are designed to be worn directly against the skin and are generally made from synthetic materials or merino wool, which have insulating and breathable properties.
