The CimAdry technology's ambition CimAdry is to eliminate the sensation of moisture for the runner (contact between the t-shirt and the skin). It enables ultra-fast wicking of sweat to keep you dry during exercise.
How does CimAdry technology enable such rapid moisture transfer from the inside to the outside of the product? CimAdry is the result of 2 years of development and 2 complementary technologies:
What is the "Cyclone effect"?
To control the flow of sweat, CimAlp has designed a fabric with 2 fibres with completely opposite properties:
- A hydrophilic fabric on the surface: This material features a profiled cross-section of threads designed to promote moisture absorption. This textile layer on the surface draws sweat outward.
- A hydrophobic fabric on the inside: This fabric allows water to remain on the surface without being absorbed by the fibres. It therefore repels moisture outward while remaining perfectly dry.
The double-weave knit of the "CimAdry" fabric generates a "flow" of H2O molecules, like a cyclone drawing in air, designed to optimise the product's primary function: wicking sweat to the outside.
Hydrophilic fibres are placed on the outside to attract moisture, while hydrophobic fibres are placed on the inside to draw that moisture away.
The test protocol :
The CimAdry fabric — in pink (see photos below) — was compared with a standard market fabric (green fabric).

T0: the moment at which the surface of the 2 fabrics received a quantity of water comparable to human perspiration

Results:
Tests confirmed that CimAdry technology guarantees extremely rapid wicking of sweat, from the inside to the outside of the fabric.
CIMALP's "CimAdry" material provides a "dry" sensation (on the inside of the T-shirt) after just 2 minutes, whereas a "standard" fabric is still damp after 30 minutes.
