Yes. An integrated RECCO® reflector helps rescuers equipped with a detector locate you in an avalanche. It complements an avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe; it does not replace them.

Does the hood fit over a helmet?

Yes. The peaked hood adjusts at three points and fits over a helmet for mountaineering or skiing.

How many pockets does it have?

Two zipped chest pockets and no lower pockets: the chest pockets remain accessible when you’re wearing a harness or a rucksack hip belt.

What's the difference between a hardshell and a softshell?

A softshell also has a thermal inner layer, whereas a hardshell provides no insulation. A hardshell has sealed seams and is fully waterproof, unlike a softshell, which is not completely waterproof.

Why choose a 3-layer jacket?

A 3-layer jacket is more durable and protective than a 2-layer or 2.5-layer jacket. This one has a 3-layer construction with our ULTRASHELL® technology.

What should you wear under this jacket?

Wear a technical base layer and, in cold weather, a fleece or lightweight insulated jacket. The jacket protects against rain and wind but provides no warmth.

How do you wash and care for this jacket?

Machine wash at 30 °C with detergent for technical clothing. Use a gentle spin cycle (400 rpm maximum) and no fabric softener. To reactivate the water repellency, use a waterproofing spray or tumble dry on a low heat setting.

What are the delivery times for this product?

Who did we design it for?

For mountaineers and ski-hiking enthusiasts who refuse to carry unnecessary weight, and for hikers who like to be well equipped. With its helmet-compatible hood, it can also be worn for skiing.

What makes it different?

Our ULTRASHELL® technology: a 3-layer membrane, waterproof to 20'000 mm and breathable at 80'000 g/m²/24h, in the lightest fabric in the range. Weight: 370g (size S).

How waterproof is it?

20,000 mm hydrostatic head, taped seams, water-repellent YKK AquaGuard® zips and a helmet-compatible hood with a peak and three-point adjustment. It also blocks strong winds.

How breathable is it?

It releases moisture vapour at 80'000 g/m²/24h, while the ventilation zips let heat escape. At high intensity, any waterproof jacket retains some moisture.
