In alpine skiing, the foot is compressed in a rigid boot liner for 6 to 8 hours. It cools down quickly when stationary, sweats during intensive descents, and an ordinary sock can't handle both.
These socks use a merino wool + acrylic blend to combine the natural warmth of wool with the durability of acrylic. The wool traps warm air. The acrylic ensures durability against liner abrasion.
The technical knit limits tibial and plantar friction over a full day. The tibial reinforcement absorbs impact without creating pressure points.
