In alpine skiing, the foot is compressed inside a rigid liner for 6 to 8 hours. It cools down quickly when you stop, sweats during intensive descents, and an ordinary sock cannot handle both.
These socks use a merino wool + acrylic blend to combine the natural warmth of wool with the resistance of acrylic. The wool captures warm air. The acrylic ensures durability against liner abrasion.
The technical knit limits shin and plantar friction over a full day. The shin reinforcement absorbs impact without creating pressure points.
