Duo de l'Hermitage – Top-level athletes on the trails!

Since 2016, Drôme-based brand Cimalp has been an official partner of the Duo de l'Hermitage, the local race held every year at the start of May in Tain-l'Hermitage. This year, top-level athletes from the Cimalp Trail team will form formidable duos! The Duo de l'Hermitage is a Drôme-based race with the motto "Start as two, finish as two!" Outdoor brand Cimalp is an official partner of this event, which welcomes nearly 2,000 runners. And every year, athletes from the Cimalp sports team take part in the various challenges.

For the 2023 edition, high-level duos will be taking part:

• Marie Dorin-Habert, Olympic biathlon champion, and Florian Olivier, Cimalp team manager and Top 100 UTMB
• Laure Desmurs, 1st at the MCC 2019 and Flavie Bruyneel, 2nd French finisher at the CCC 2022
• Alexia Coudray, 3-time Champion of the short format at the Challenge des Trails de Provence, and Sabine Ehrström, among France's top athletes on the maratrail format.

This trail race is the perfect occasion for the Cimalp Family to line up together on the same start line, sharing unforgettable moments. One thing is for certain: duos will start together and cross the finish line together!

In 2022, the duo of Marie Dorin-Habert and Alexia Coudray claimed victory in the Challenge Duo Bergeron.

Different race formats for all levels!

The concept of the Duo Trail de l'Hermitage is to run as a pair and cross the finish line together! In these races that take place right in the middle of the vineyards, the aim is not to win first place but above all to cross the finish line with your teammate. Duos choose their preferred race format. This event also offers the opportunity to take part in challenges over 2 days, Saturday and Sunday:

• Atol Duo challenge: Duo Gambert 10 km and 350m D+ and Duo Bergeron 13.9 km and 350m D+
• Cimalp Duo challenge: Duo Hermitage 15 km and 500m D+ and Duo Chapelle 40 km and 1,600m D+

The Cimalp Challenge is the big new feature of 2023! The Duo de l'Hermitage organiser Toma Micoud wanted to give a nod to the partnership with the French outdoor clothing brand. Challenge accomplished!  

Did you know?

In 2023, the CIMALP Trail team entered the International Teams rankings for the first time (rankings established based on the ITRA level of the 5 best athletes), with an average rating of 840 points (out of 1,000).
