Organising a trail training week can be a real headache. To make sure you progress in trail without getting injured, you need to structure your training week. Follow these valuable tips.

Having time
Having time is the first point raised by Coach Séb. The ideal structure for a training week includes a minimum of 3 training sessions. This will ensure steady progression. But to have the time, you need to organise yourself between work and personal life.
Varying your sessions
Varying your sessions is Coach Séb's second piece of advice — he champions the maxim "Run less to run better". With the time freed up, he recommends not limiting yourself to running alone.
Over a training week, he recommends interval training (a session combining high and lower intensity running), cross-training (i.e. practising a sport that develops aerobic capacity, such as cycling, cross-country skiing, ski touring or fitness), and a session combining running and strength training.
That gives you plenty of ideas for varying your training sessions!
Working on body mobility
Working on body mobility allows you to progress gradually in trail without getting injured. Stretching and core training will help you work on body mobility. 5 to 10 minutes is all it takes.
By following these tips for organising a training week, you're sure to progress in trail!
