What is a hardshell jacket?

It's a jacket with a membrane: a waterproof, breathable shell worn over other layers that provides no warmth on its own. This jacket is one, built with our ULTRASHELL® technology.

What's the difference between a hardshell and a softshell?

A softshell also has a thermal inner layer, whereas a hardshell provides no insulation. A hardshell has sealed seams and is fully waterproof, unlike a softshell, which is not completely waterproof.

Why choose a 3-layer jacket?

A 3-layer jacket is more durable and protective than a 2-layer or 2.5-layer jacket. This one has a 3-layer construction with our ULTRASHELL® technology.

What does 20'000 mm Schmerber mean?

It's the height of a water column the fabric can withstand before water passes through: here, 20'000 mm, or 20 metres. The seams are heat-sealed.

What should you wear under this jacket?

A technical base layer and, in cold weather, a fleece: the jacket protects against rain and wind but provides no warmth of its own. It fits over a light mid-layer.

How do you wash and care for this jacket?

Machine wash at 30 °C with detergent for technical clothing. Use a gentle spin cycle (400 rpm maximum) and no fabric softener. To reactivate the water repellency, use a waterproofing spray or tumble dry on a low heat setting.

Is it available in larger sizes?

Yes, it comes in sizes S to 3XL.

What are the delivery times for this product?

The jacket is well made fits well with a bit of space for a fleece if you need one the only thing I was a little unhappy with was the delivery if you can pick iup your orders from shops then it great free delivery but if you can't then you have to pay no matter how big the order is I found this a shame but it's company policy they have there reasons
