The layer that blocks wind without trapping heat

At altitude, the cold isn’t just about the temperature. Wind speeds up heat loss, turning every stop into a sudden chill. A standard fleece isn’t enough.

The Orba was designed to block the wind while letting excess heat escape. Its stretch fabric moves with you, whether you’re traversing a ridge or adjusting your pack. The close-fitting hood protects you without restricting your field of vision. Under a harness or strap, it stays in place without creating unwanted hot spots.

Because in cold, windy conditions, managing your body temperature starts when the wind stops setting the pace.

Female - 31 years old - 1.68m - 45kg. Very satisfied with this jacket, which I wore as a mid-layer between 0 and 12-13°C at 2000m in wind and rain, and then on its own above those temperatures. The technical fabric doesn't have the comforting feel of a classic fleece, but it's very effective at regulating heat and moisture. I didn't sweat at all, even on long hikes with a heavy pack. Note: the sleeves are very narrow; I would recommend that people with thicker arms order a size up.

To maximise warmth without building up condensation, wear a breathable technical base layer (synthetic fibres or merino wool) as your first layer.

This garment acts as a thermal second layer: its role is to trap air and retain your body heat. While it can handle a light drizzle, it is not waterproof. In heavy rain or freezing wind, adding a waterproof jacket (third layer) over the top is essential.

We recommend machine washing at 30°C, ideally inside out. Avoid the tumble dryer and leave it to air dry to preserve the softness and loft of the thermal fibres over time.

If you place your order before 1 pm (excluding weekends), it will be dispatched the same day. Allow 2 to 4 working days for home delivery or collection point delivery within mainland France.
