Who did we design it for?

For experienced hikers and trekkers navigating independently, far from marked trails.

Committing terrain, map navigation in real conditions, exposed sections where slope assessment determines safety.

Those who demand a reliable instrument when GPS is no longer enough and precision makes all the difference.

What makes the difference?

Its advanced navigation precision. With its integrated clinometer, long-distance sighting mirror and multi-format scales (1:25, 1:40, 1:50), it packs into 86 g every orientation tool an experienced hiker expects from a high-end instrument.

Ideal for

Hiking

Navigate with precision, even without a signal

Trail fades out. Fog rolls in. Unmarked ridge ahead. In remote terrain, navigation comes down to one instrument. It needs to be readable, accurate and complete.

The **Expedition S** compass is built for demanding navigators. Its sighting mirror locks in a bearing over long distances. Its clinometer reads slope angles to anticipate effort or avalanche risk. Map scales cover all common formats, and magnetic declination can be set permanently. Lightweight, built-to-last, readable even at night thanks to luminous markings.

Because navigation isn't just about finding north. It's about reading the terrain before you commit to it.

Key features

Integrated sighting mirror

– Bearing locked over long distances without taking your eyes off the instrument,
– 45-degree assistance for quick bearings in open terrain.

Slope clinometer

- Direct slope angle reading to assess avalanche risk before committing,
- Estimates actual distance to cover by factoring in elevation gain.

Removable scale cord

- Measure long distances on a map without repositioning the ruler,
- 1:25 and 1:50 scales readable at a glance for quick plotting.

DryFlex anti-slip map case

- Grip maintained on a wet map or with sweaty hands,
- Silicone feet that prevent any slipping during map work.

Adjustable magnetic declination

- Permanent setting that eliminates the need to recalculate every time you take a bearing,
- Reliability maintained when moving between geographic zones, with no additional tools required.
