Tested at 1800m altitude in -10°C weather, I can confirm that this jacket is warm. However, a windproof layer is necessary as soon as conditions deteriorate (winds of 20 to 30 km/h at altitude). I am 1.76m tall with a 105cm chest, and the size is true to size. It's possible to wear a first and second fleece layer underneath if needed. The sleeves are a little long. Excellent finish.

Fleece for extreme cold
When temperatures drop sharply, there’s no room for compromise. At the bivvy, in a mountain hut or during a break, your body starts to cool as soon as you stop.
This fleece is built for warmth. Its hollow fibres trap air and retain body heat while letting moisture escape. The fabric resists wear, and its stretch keeps you moving freely.
Because in extreme cold, a fleece has one job above all: keeping you warm.
