What size should I choose?

Choose your usual size or, if in doubt, the next size up: that’s Meindl’s advice. Try them on in the afternoon with the socks you’ll wear, leaving about 1 cm of space at the toe. The size guide gives the foot length in millimetres for each size.

Meindl makes no waterproofing claim for this model: its product information mentions neither a membrane nor GORE-TEX. Before the first outing, Meindl recommends treating the shoe to make it water-repellent, for example with its Meindl WetProof spray.

What is the lowest temperature they are designed for?

Meindl specifies -25 °C as the lowest temperature. Its product information describes a removable lining with Thermo insulation, but gives no further details about the insulating material.

Is the lining removable?

Yes: Meindl describes a removable lining with Thermo insulation. After your outing, take it out and let it air-dry away from radiators.

How high is the upper?

Meindl states that the upper measures 20 cm.

How should I care for these shoes?

After each outing, brush off dirt and clean the shoes with lukewarm water. Do not machine-wash them. Remove the detachable lining and leave it to air-dry. Leave the shoes to dry away from direct sunlight and radiators too, placing newspaper inside if they are wet. To treat the leather, Meindl recommends regularly applying a suitable spray, such as Meindl WetProof. It advises against oils and greases, which can weaken the shoes.

What are the delivery times for this product?

If you place your order before 1 pm (excluding weekends), it will be dispatched the same day. Allow 2 to 4 working days for home delivery or collection point delivery within mainland France.

Can I return the item if the size doesn't fit?

Yes, absolutely. You have 30 days to return it and get a refund or an exchange. Return shipping is free. The item must be new, unworn, unwashed, and have its original tag.

Who did we design them for?

For women who keep going after a day at the resort: snowy paths between mountain hut and village, terraces at altitude and winter trips in the cold.

What protection does it offer?

Removable lining with Thermo insulation and a suede leather upper. Meindl rates the boots down to -25 °C.

How much support?

The high-cut upper measures 20 cm. Tighten the laces securely around the ankle for stable support on snowy ground.

What about grip?

Treaded sole with a moulded lower boot section: its deep tread provides grip on packed snow.

Ideal for

Hiking

When the day continues after the last descent

The skis are put away, but there’s still the path to the mountain hut, the terrace at altitude and the village’s packed snow. That’s when the cold sets in, starting with your feet.

This high-cut winter boot wraps the foot in a removable, insulating lining. Its moulded lower section and deeply treaded sole provide grip on packed snow. In the evening, remove the lining to let it dry.

Because an evening at altitude is better with warm feet.

Very good quality shoes that keep you warm. 1st walk in the snow at the top. I took 1 size up and don't regret it because at the first fitting they are very tight but they fit very quickly. I am very comfortable in them. I recommend them.

I use these boots in mud and cold weather and I'm not disappointed. They fit well. They're slightly heavy, but the comfort they provide makes up for the weight. I would have liked: -slightly thicker laces, as they hurt my fingers when I try to tighten them. -a second row of hooks
