Who did we design it for?

For active female hikers who are looking for a specifically women's fit, combining precision of fit and durable performance.

It meets the needs of multi-day treks, alpine hiking and technical trails where every descent demands as much control as comfort.

Those who refuse to finish a long stage with aching feet due to an ill-fitting shoe designed for their morphology.

How should you wear it?

Wear them with mid-calf merino wool socks designed for the female foot. Use the two-zone lacing system, tightening the forefoot and ankle separately for a fit tailored to your morphology. Go with your usual size; the Lowa women's last is designed for a natural foot hold.

What makes the difference?

Its Vibram Cornerstone WS sole specifically designed for the female foot, delivers precise traction and effective braking on descents. Its high-resilience cushioning retains its elastic properties over the long term for sustained comfort even at the end of a trek.

The trek shoe designed for women who go the distance

On technical descents, the female foot is not the male foot. The morphology differs. So do the demands. A generic shoe does not respond in the same way.

The Lowa CORVARA GTX MID WS was designed for women hikers who demand as much from their shoe as they demand from themselves. Its women-specific sole delivers traction on the ascent and controlled braking on the descent. Its high-resilience cushioning holds up over distance without losing comfort. Its dual-zone lacing and flexible upper adapt to the anatomy of the female foot from the very first wear.

For women hikers. Designed for women hikers.

The shoes were not my size; I had another model from the same brand, but the sizes do not match. I am waiting for the restock in the correct size. Otherwise, LOWA is a very good hiking shoe brand.
