Thanks to its generous, ergonomic cut, it layers easily over a thick down jacket without restricting your movements. The raised chest pockets remain fully accessible, even when wearing a harness or a backpack waist belt.

Please note: the RECCO® beacon is a complementary protective device, but it remains essential to carry the appropriate safety equipment in high mountains when exposed to avalanche risk (Avalanche Victim Detector, shovel, probe).

Size M is a bit small for a woman who is 178cm tall and weighs 70kg. The sleeves could also be shorter! I ordered a size L and it's perfect. It's still close-fitting but there's room for a warmer layer. The jacket was no longer on sale, but the Simalpl team was very kind to offer it to me at the sale price. Thank you. At first glance, the quality is excellent!

This jacket acts as a protective shield (third layer) against wind and rain. It is not designed to provide warmth on its own. In cold conditions, wear a technical base layer underneath, paired with a fleece or insulating jacket (second layer).

Machine wash at 30°C with a specialist detergent (such as NIKWAX or NST) on a gentle spin cycle (400 rpm max). Avoid standard supermarket detergents and fabric softeners at all costs. To reactivate the DWR finish, use a waterproofing spray or tumble dry the jacket on a low heat setting.
