What’s the difference between waterproof fabric and sealed seams?

Waterproof: the fabric keeps water out. Fully sealed: the seams do too. Here, the CIMASHELL membrane has a 10,000 mm water column rating and the seams are sealed, so water gets through neither the fabric nor the stitching.

How should I care for them?

Machine wash at 30 °C with detergent for technical clothing. Use a gentle spin cycle and no fabric conditioner. To reactivate the water repellency, use a waterproofing spray or tumble dry on a low heat setting.

How waterproof is it?

10'000 mm Schmerber waterproof rating, welded seams, water-repellent YKK Aquaguard® zips and a close-fitting hood.

Not being familiar with the product, I sized up (XL instead of L). I shouldn't have. You need to stick with your usual size. Apart from that mistake on my part, it's a very good product.
