Yes. The roomy, adjustable hood is designed to fit over a helmet. Without one, it remains quite bulky.

How many pockets does it have?

Two zipped chest pockets and no lower pockets: the chest pockets remain accessible when you’re wearing a harness or a rucksack hip belt.

What's the difference between a hardshell and a softshell?

A softshell also has a thermal inner layer, whereas a hardshell provides no insulation. A hardshell has sealed seams and is fully waterproof, unlike a softshell, which is not completely waterproof.

Why choose a 3-layer jacket?

What should you wear under this jacket?

Wear a technical base layer and, in cold weather, a fleece or insulated jacket. The outer jacket protects against rain and wind but does not provide warmth.

Which size should I choose?

It runs slightly large: if you’re between sizes, choose the smaller one. Its roomy fit accommodates a thick insulated jacket underneath.

How do you wash and care for this jacket?

Machine wash at 30 °C with detergent for technical clothing. Use a gentle spin cycle (400 rpm maximum) and no fabric softener. To reactivate the water repellency, use a waterproofing spray or tumble dry on a low heat setting.

What are the delivery times for this product?

Size M is a bit small for a woman who is 178cm tall and weighs 70kg. The sleeves could also be shorter! I ordered a size L and it's perfect. It's still close-fitting but there's room for a warmer layer. The jacket was no longer on sale, but the Simalpl team was very kind to offer it to me at the sale price. Thank you.
