3-layer overtrousers are tougher and offer more protection than 2-layer or 2.5-layer versions. These use our ULTRASHELL® technology.

What are overtrousers for?

Wear them over your trousers for protection from rain and wind, then pack them away when the skies clear. These are made for hiking, mountaineering and ski touring.

Can I put them on without taking off my shoes?

Yes. A full-length zip on each side opens from the waist to the hem, so you can pull the overtrousers on over your trousers and footwear.

Which size should I choose?

It runs small: choose one size up from your usual size, especially if you wear it over trousers.

How many pockets does it have?

A waterproof zipped thigh pocket, large enough for a phone.

Does it withstand contact with crampons and ski edges?

Reinforcement at the lower leg protects the fabric from crampons and ski edges.

How much do they weigh, and how do you pack them?

It weighs 310 g in size S. It packs down small and fits in a rucksack between showers.

How should I care for them?

Machine wash at 30 °C with zips closed, using a detergent for technical clothing and a gentle spin cycle. Do not use fabric softener. To restore water repellency, apply a reproofing spray after washing.

What are the delivery times for this product?

If you place your order before 1 pm (excluding weekends), it will be dispatched the same day. Allow 2 to 4 working days for home delivery or collection point delivery within mainland France.

Can I return the item if the size doesn't fit?

Who did we design it for?

For women mountaineers, hikers and ski tourers in the high mountains, where the weather can change quickly: protection that pulls on fast and adds almost no weight to your pack.

What makes it different?

Our ULTRASHELL® technology: a three-layer membrane, waterproof to 20'000 mm and breathable at 80'000 g/m²/24h, for lightweight overtrousers that pack down into the bottom of your rucksack.

How waterproof is it?

A 20'000 mm Schmerber rating and sealed seams protect against rain and snow. They also block strong winds of 60 to 90 km/h.

How breathable is it?

The fabric releases moisture vapour at 80'000 g/m²/24h, while side zips ventilate your legs. At high intensity, any waterproof trousers will retain some moisture.

The weather changes. You keep going.

Clouds close in above the mountain pass. The wind picks up, the first drops fall, and the outing is far from over. There’s no time to sit down and change: neither the pace nor the group will wait.

The two zips open from waist to ankle, so you can pull the overtrousers on over your trousers and shoes without taking anything off. They adjust at the waist and ankles, have sealed seams, and their membrane lets heat escape as you move while keeping the rain out.

Lightweight, it packs down and goes back into the bottom of your pack as soon as the sky clears.

Because in the mountains, the best protection is the gear you won’t hesitate to pull out.

- A zip on each side runs from the waist to the hem, so you can put them on and take them off without removing your footwear.

- Elastic at the back and two hook-and-loop tabs at the sides adjust the waist fit.

The sleeves run large, but it's not a big deal; it's big enough to wear a down jacket underneath for winter. I requested an exchange for the Vinson model because I didn't like the off-center closure near the face. Otherwise, it's a very good product and of excellent quality.
