Silvia Lara Diéguez

Our athletes

Silvia started trail running in 2014, in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada in southern Spain. She then moved towards the vertical kilometre, quickly achieving strong results and qualifying for the European and World Championships. In April 2022, she became the patron of the first edition of the CXM Silvia Lara 21km race in Castillo de Locubin (Andalusia), her home village. A naturally humble and discreet athlete who regularly reaches the summits!

Perseverance, humility, curiosity.

Why do you feel you belong to the Cimalp family?

I'm thrilled and honoured to be part of Team Cimalp! The kit is great to wear during training and competitions.

Your best and worst memory in the mountains — and why?

My best memories are all those moments shared with friends or teammates in the mountains. My worst memory is the time I got lost after taking the wrong path and had to add several kilometres to my outing.

What do the mountains inspire in you?

Freedom, beauty and team spirit to reach the summit.

What is your relationship with the environment and ecology?

I'm very close to nature — I live in a small village nestled in the mountains.

Another great passion or talent beyond sport?

I love eating and discovering new flavours!
