A young lover of mountains and wide-open spaces, Théo le Boudec finds his balance exploring the peaks of the Mercantour. Always on the move, he loves spending time outdoors, scrambling along trails and letting himself be carried by the vastness of nature. A big dreamer and adventurer at heart, he sees every outing as an invitation to discovery and escape. His energy and passion for the mountains make him a true ambassador of the outdoor spirit we share at Cimalp.

Interview with Théo Le Boudec

3 words that define you as an athlete?

Competitive, ambitious, climber

3 values that define you as a person?

Dreamer, ambitious, rigorous.

Why do you feel you belong to the Cimalp family?

It's a French brand where closeness between people matters and values are shared. I felt a real family bond, especially with Florian, the team manager.

Your best and worst memory in the mountains — and why?

My best memory: my victory in Croatia — starting 12th on the line, I finished ahead of guys with track records I used to dream about… I ran the perfect race. My worst memory: getting stuck on a rock face while trying to find a new trail near home. For the first time in my life, I felt my body slipping beyond my control. Avalanche risk right above me. Since that day, I've learned my lesson and try to manage the unexpected better!

What do the mountains inspire in you?

The mountains inspire freedom in me.

What is your relationship with the environment and ecology?

I've always been the first to sort waste, switch off lights, and limit my consumption. Living in the mountains, I keep my travel to a minimum. Living at 1,300m altitude, I never take the car to train — everything starts from home. This year, my key races are between 5 minutes and 2h30 from the house. The mountains give me the desire to leave a clean, healthy world for my children.

Another great passion / talent beyond sport?

I love reading, sitting on a bench with a mountain view and letting myself be carried into a world where only I can create the characters and build an imaginary universe.
