UTMB® 2025: entry list and elite field

20 Aug. 2025

UTMB® : les inscrits et les élites présents en 2025

Finding out about your entry to the UTMB® or checking out the big names set to compete across the different courses couldn't be simpler — the race website is packed with information, and UTMB® 2025 will hold no secrets!

The elite field at UTMB® 2025

Even if it looks noticeably different from previous years, the 2025 UTMB field will be a strong one. On the men's side, French runner Vincent Bouillard, the surprise winner of 2024, will not attempt to defend his title. Mathieu Blanchard will also be absent from the start line following his second-place finish at the Hardrock 100 in July. This edition will however be marked by the return of legend François D'Haene, a four-time winner. Ludovic Pommeret and Germain Grangier will also be present and could well feature prominently.

Jim Walmsley, the 2023 winner, is not expected to start, having been troubled by a knee injury for several months. But other big names in ultra trail such as Ben Dhiman, Tom Evans, Hayden Hawks and Jonathan Albon will be looking to add their names to the race honours list. Anton Krupicka will make his return to Chamonix after 11 years away!

Among the women, triple champion Courtney Dauwalter will make her return and will be the clear favourite in the absence of Katie Schide. New Zealander Ruth Croft could be her main rival after finishing second in 2024. Watch out too for Emily Hawgood and Abby Hall.

On the French women's side, Blandine L'hirondel, who finished 5th last year, will this time be racing the CCC. The strongest French contenders for the flagship race will likely be Camille Bruyas, 2nd at the Hardrock 100 in 2024, and Magali Mellon.
